Our Mission
Who We Are
FWCAA is managed by a board of volunteers who plan, produce, and support our featured programs on various content through lectures, field trips and a peer-led Study Series.
Membership in FWCAA is based on annual dues which defray operational costs supporting our program year from June to May. Members wishing to attend a particular event pay an additional fee which covers the cost of the event venue, speaker, transportation, etc.
We offer eclectic daytime programming throughout the year that includes lectures by well-known art historians, presentations by members with interest and expertise in specific aspects of the arts; opportunities to visit sites of artistic, cultural, or historic significance and access to exhibitions, museums, gardens, and galleries, among other events.
We currently have members from 33 western suburban communities.
Why We Do It
· To deepen the knowledge of and appreciation for the arts among our members.
· To provide members with opportunities to explore and experience the arts.
· To provide members with new ways of seeing the value of the arts in their lives.
